Piddling between jobs just to keep the trigger finger in shape....ahahahaha
As always you guys now the drill....your comments are welcomed
I really have to appologize for the picture quality, I am not at all happy with this new camera, everything seems to be too bright, I have tried everything, may have to purchase a different one.

is it the flash washing out the pictures? try a piece of tape over the flash so less amount of light gets through, or a piece of paper in front to delfect light.

Nice work as all ways! Have you ever done a bad painting ? About the camera, have you tried turning up the shutter speed? Could it be in the software?

So will you frame this and just keep it? I think I would!

i agree with jrrdw... you shutter speed may be too slow, also known as the F number... if you lower the F number then the shutter speed will be faster. a little confusing i know, but thats how they work. andif you have tried that then i dont know...lol...
I dont know if you have done this before, but would you mind explaining or maybe even doing a tutorial on how you get your fur to look like that?? im doing an animal as we speak, and i wasnt going to attempt the fur like you have because i just dont know how to do it... but a little lesson may change my mind

Thanks all
Soulkeeper, I'll try to explain how I do fur, sorry I can't do a video as I don't have a camera to do one.
1. I start by fogging in the darker areas ( in this case some lt. gray where the darkest areas will be) do this lightly so that you can cover with the colors when your start the daggers for the fur (hairs)
2. I then start placing daggers with my darkest color I will be using to create the darkest fur
3. The next color I use will be the midtones ( Red Brown in this picture) again it is dagger strokes in the direction you need to create the look of the fur ( remember it never goes in the same direction)
4. I now come in with the lightest color ( white in the picture ) overlapping the midtones and the darkest areas to give it the layered look
5. I then work back and forth with all of my colors until I get the look I am looking for
Fur is nothing but a lot of DAGGERS, but it great DAGGER practice for those looking for a way to practice them without being bored!!!!!

i was really hoping you werent going to say that it was all daggers...lol.. just makes it that much harder for me because i dont do them very well... and now that im looking harder at the picture, i realized there is even more impressive work on there than the fur... and thats all the lines you did in all of the wood... its excellent, and quite a bit actually.. this work just became that much better to me excellent job TaDa...!!

i have used wax paper over the flash, try 1 layer if its still too bright then just double it over (and so on and so on)

Excellent painting, as usual.
When photographing my work for archiving, I find that daylight photography with NO flash is optimal. Nothing beats good old indirect sunlight for a very true reproduction of colors, and zero glare or wash out. =)
