What kind of polishing machine?

Hey everybody,

In one month its my birthday and I didnt know what to ask for, so I decided a polishing machine would be a nice present.

I've searched on ebay and the internet and found that there is a variety of polishers, 3", 7", electric, pneumatic, orbital, etc.

I would like to use it for helmets and smaller. What would be the best machine for me?

Why are the orbital polishers only around $30 and all the others above $50? Are the orbital polishers only for cars and big things?

Thanks.

This is the kind i use for everything (always polish on the lowest setting tooooo):

I do not use the fluffy polish pad that is shown there... I use a foam white one for the cut polish (all 3M polish system), then a really soft black one for the second stage and then I just hand glaze after that...

I do only motorcycles, snowmobiles, and helmets right now. I have a 3" Chicago Pneumatic air polisher and couldn't be happier. It really lets you get in to those smaller spots.

That's Chicago Pneumatic, NOT Central Pneumatic.
