hiya dsa ,
welcome to the family..
not sure where in the world you are but im in the uk,and i go to the local diy shop and buy hardboard panels(cos there cheap) i then scuff them and paint them with cheap waterbased black acrylic paints( normally anita's).
it dries matt which is a perfect base for what you need...
good or bad ,post your progress as theres a wealth of free info here..and were all very freindly..

Hummorris,

You win the greatest simple solution award for the day. That's an awesome idea. I hadn't even thought of that. I bet they are great painting panels.

Your the man.

Welcome aboard Dane.

You can buy aluminum panels in black or white from some airbrush shops I believe, but why bother when you can do as Humorris suggests. Great idea H!

All credit goes to JJ! He is the one that brought it to me. I just sand the back and hit it with a rattle can and ready to go. Also good idea to hit down the holes since they are pressed outward.

I use the For Sale signs, but same thing. The available size variety is nice too.
