HOK - can you gimme the lowdown?

O.K., I've been using Autobourne for a little while now, and for the most part I'm pretty happy with it.
Dare I say though, that the detail spraying could be more predictable, and the candies could be cleaner.
Hense my inquiry into HOK.
Is it better for detail work, and if so, by how much?
What is the fume factor like? Mild, moderate, or really nasty?
How long does it take to touch dry and cure?
Does it skin, or dry through all at once?
Oh, and can it be cleared with a laquer or with U-POL #1 ?

Look forward to hearing all about it.

I always use HoK paint, and i really love it! But, the fumes are really nasty, so you need to wear a respirator, and spray in a room where you don't really do anything else...
But the paint lays down really nice and flat, and cures pretty fast :-) You can touch it right away if you paint with an airbrush.
The candies are really bright, and easy to use! Waaay better then AutoAir!

Teebone, I just bought some Autoborne white and black along with some other AA colors to practice real fire, and well I'm not impressed at all. I sprayed PPG uros once and vowed never to use uros again as they are stinky and poisonous. Now I use Etac, and they are just fantastic paints. If you want to stay with acrylics, you might want to try Etac, which are now available down under. BTW, I'm just an Etac user and have no other vested interest in this paint other than I really like them. Just my 2 cents.

Teebone,
HOK is all I use,
For my purposes it beats everything else,
Richness in color, brightness, drying time, durability, flow, atomization, all work for me.
A decent VOC Respirator is a must, don't paint without it.
To keep the chemicals off my hands I buy hospital gloves by the hundred box.
A ducted Paint Booth sure helps to keep vapors from lingering around your body.
Great paint, just follow some sensible precautions.

I have some HOK paints laying around and I would like to try them out, How much do you have to reduce it to spray through an airbrush and what do I use to reduce it? What do I use to clean airbrush after I use it? thanks
