what color is the background/panel? layer the yellow trans sun the use the candy to deepen the shadows and bring out the highlites. Make sure it is reduce properly or it will create a flat appearence. Hope this helps!

Negative. Candies go on top. They tint the paint they're on top of.

you may also want to invest in a cheap but usable hair dryer. There is an airbrush tricks demo that shows how to flash the candy faster so you can get deeper color faster (it's for flames, but works with anything you use candy for). That tip came in handy for me, that's for sure. They'll go on really wet, since they are pretty dense, and drying them with the hair dryer lets you get layers a lot LOT faster. It's actually that demo that got me to check out this site. Now I am hooked (best airbrush forum on the web IMO).

also watch out when spraying...... if you go to heavy you will fish eye your work.... that is it (the candie) will seperate its colour and you end up with what looks like water drops have dried on your work..... light layers r the key..... and the more layers the ''deeper'' the effect...
hope that helps
